Krupa appears nude, sporting only angel wings and a strategically placed crucifix in a new PETA ad with the tagline, "Be an angel for animals," encouraging pet lovers to adopt.

"It's understandable that the Catholic League is wary of another sex scandal, but the sex we're talking about pertains to dogs and cats," said the sexy former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, 30. "As a practicing Catholic, I am shocked that the Catholic League is speaking out against my PETA ads, which I am very proud of.

I'm doing what the Catholic Church should be doing, working to stop senseless suffering of animals, the most defenseless of God's creation."

Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of music icon Billy “Piano Man” Joel and modeling legend Christie Brinkley, has been hospitalized in New York City after an alleged suicide attempt. Alexa, 23, was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan Saturday afternoon after allegedly ingesting a large quantity of sleeping pills, The New York Post has learned.

At approximately 12:21PM, a frantic 911 call came from Alexa’s roommate at 19 Bethune St. in the West Village. The young woman told EMTs that Alexa has been depressed after recently breaking up with a boyfriend and may have taken too many pills.

In an August posting on her MySpace page, Alexa listed her mood as “forgotten” and complained about her love life….or lack thereof. Earlier this year, there were even reports that Alexa Ray’s mom, Christie, was hoping to set the beautiful brunette up on a date with lothario John Mayer — which could drive anyone over the edge.

“I don’t like dating!!! Wish I could be in a relationship again without having to date,” she wrote. “I HATE going out!! I’m a homebody and a workaholic… I don’t like going out and drinking to meet men!!! I always have to drag myself out the door to get up the motivation to go out, and when I do go out, I don’t meet anybody!!!” she continued. “I live in the greatest city in the world and I can’t seem to meet an interesting guy who also happens to be NICE.”

Alexa Ray is the only daughter of Joel and Brinkley, whose nine-year marriage ended in divorce in 1994. After dropping out of New York University, she launched a singing career. The prolific pianist and songwriter is reportedly lucid and expected to recover.

“She is stable,” Claire Mercuri, her publicist, told NBC New York. “Her doctors are assessing her needs. And that’s all we can say at this moment.”

Alexa is scheduled to participate in a tree-lighting ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Just days after ABC cancelled a pair of planned Lambert appearances on the network’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve, Adam broke news of his upcoming visit to The View on Twitter late Friday.

“Hey friends! I will be performing and hanging w the ladies of ABC’s The View Thursday the 10th!” the self-admitted Glam Rocker wrote.

ABC notes that Adam’s interview and performance will be pre-taped.

The news is a triumph for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), who had accused the network of banning Lambert due to a “double standard” plaguing openly-gay entertainers. Adam came under fire after a sexually-charged live performance on ABC’s broadcast of the 2009 American Music Awards last month. The network was mighty unimpressed and promptly became canning the American Idol’s appearances on its programs.

“ABC has taken a step towards fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on ‘The View,’” said Jarrett Barrios, President of GLAAD. “GLAAD has been advocating against the double standards that have been applied to Lambert as an openly gay performer. We thank community members and allies for voicing their concerns with ABC so that entertainers like Adam have the opportunity to be broadcast into living rooms across America.”

Florida Quarterback Tim Tebow is without a doubt one of the best quarterbacks in college football in the 21st Century. Before the SEC Championship pitting undefeated and number one-ranked Florida against undefeated and number two-ranked Alabama, Tebow was a virtual lock for the Heisman Trophy.

But I don't think that's going to happen because Florida lost 32 to 13 and Tebow cried. That's right, he cried.

I can understand being upset over losing, especially after throwing a costly interception. But I would think a religious leader like Tebow would cry more for those less fortunate than he, rather than a football game that will not take much out of his future endorsement checks or NFL contract.

The Heisman Trophy is given to the best college football player in America. The trophy itself is designed to encourage the energy and drive of a leader: the runner side steps one tackler and stiff-arms another. A person who does that on the football field doesn't have time to cry.

I'm not saying there's something wrong with crying or that one's not a man to cry. Hey. I cry. But crying over a football game rather than just going out there and fessing up to the loss and shaking the hand of every Alabama player (which he did try to do in fairness) with a smile? No.

In my book Tim Tebow has to prove he can stare down an opponent and will a win all over again, just as those of us at Football Reporters thought he could do before the SEC Championship Game. And just as it seems Stanford's great player Running Back Toby Gerhart can do.

When I think or this Stanford Cardinal, I think of Jim Brown. Few have Gerhart's ability to gain yards as he glides through a defense, or outrun defenders with just a thought. Gerhart is fun to watch and epitomizes what the game's all about: great plays by a great student-athlete who gets it done with little fanfare.

I can see Toby Gerhart crying when its appropriate to do so, but not after a loosing a football game.
